Technology’s impact on driving has influenced nearly every facet of the auto industry. In an effort to better understand how rapid changes in the media landscape are impacting how automotive engineers consume information, Weber Shandwick and KRC Research commissioned a report titled Engaging Today’s Automotive Engineers: How to Reach Those Powering Us Forward.

The study is the end result of feedback received from more than 500 automotive engineers via an in-person survey at the 2015 SAE World Congress, in Detroit, Michigan. The report finds that auto engineers today are embracing social and digital forms of communications more than they ever have before. The majority of automotive engineers surveyed (61%) said they turn to social media and online channels to stay current on industry trends and product news.
